S.S. Maritime Museum (2008)

The building that houses the San Francisco Maritime Museum was originally a bathhouse built in 1939 as one of the many Depression-era public construction projects. Architects in the “Art Deco” era considered it most appropriate for a bathhouse in an aquatic park to look like an idealized “streamline moderne” vision of an ocean liner.
