Queen Mary Docking Wing (2010)

The port “docking wing” of the Queen Mary. These wings extend from either side of the main bridge, providing a view of the entire ship. The empty booth at the end of the wing originally held a set of auxiliary controls that a pilot used to precisely maneuver the ship to a dock. Visitors to this docking wing now have a view of the port of Long Beach, and its cranes that lift cargo containers on and off freighter ships.
