Kelp and Sand (2012)

A strand of kelp on the sand at RAT Beach. RAT Beach is the south end of a nearly contiguous string of sandy beaches stretching from the Palos Verdes Peninsula to Malibu. The name has nothing to do with rodents, but is an acronym for either “Right After Torrance” (Torrance Beach is the next beach to the north) or “Redondo and Torrance” (the beach straddles the boundary between the cities of Redondo Beach and Torrance).
