Snake River Overlook (1990)
An autumn morning view from the Snake River Overlook in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming. Ansel Adams made a very famous black and white photograph from this overlook in 1942. Many visitors try to replicate that picture, but trees that have grown since then obscure the view Adams had of the full river bend. I’m a bit ashamed to admit I wasn’t aware of Adams’ iconic image when I visited Grand Teton. But then, my picture includes autumn color.
