“Avenue of the Giants” is stretch of highway in Northern California’s Redwood Coast that traverses a preserve of giant redwood trees. The Los Angeles version might be Fifth Street, containing some of Downtown’s tallest buildings.
This view from the Maguire Gardens of the Los Angeles Central Library includes three of those giants. At the center is the U.S. Bank Tower (also called the Library Tower), the tallest building in Los Angeles, 310.3 meters high. To its right is the 228.3-meter Gas Company Tower, the fourth tallest building. To its left is the Citigroup Center, which in this view looks bigger than it is; at a comparatively puny 191 meters, it’s the twelfth tallest building.
