Devil’s Postpile #4 (2003)

Autumn leaves accent the basaltic pillars at Devils Postpile National Monument, near Mammoth Lakes, California.

Although the afternoon provides the best light for the west-facing “postpile” wall, mid-morning (after the sun rises above the trees) offers some interesting side lighting.
