Frazier Statue (2014)

A 4-meter-high statue of John Frazier holding a flask of mineral water. Installed in 1994, it stands at the entrance to the new spa on the California historic site where he dug a well that put Carlsbad, California on the map in 1882. The sculptor was Vaclav Lokvenc, who as mayor of Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic (the original Karlsbad) signed the sister city arrangement with Carlsbad in 1991.
