Caesar Through the Passageway (2000)
An imperial statue of Augustus Caesar occupies a niche in the center of the stage wall of the Roman theatre in Orange. I’ve framed that section of the wall through a passageway leading to the summa cavea, the upper tier of seats where ordinary citizens and slaves sat in Roman times.
