Central Library Rotunda Chandelier (2014)

Lee Lawrie’s bronze chandelier that hangs from the main rotunda of the Los Angeles Central Library. Symbols of the twelve signs of the zodiac surround the glowing globe. The 48 light bulbs around the rim represent the 48 states that comprised the United States when the Library opened in 1926.
