Grand Prismatic Spring (1991)
113 meters across, Grand Prismatic Spring is the largest hot-water pool in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. What looks like a Martian landscape is actually a mat of thermophilic bacteria thriving at temperatures that would kill anything else.
