Dentelles Terroir (2000)

For oenophiles, terroir means the particular characteristics of soil and climate in the place where specific grapes are grown. Terroir has a distinguishable influence on the taste of wine. This little vineyard is in the proverbial “middle of nowhere,” between the guidebook stops on a driving tour of the Dentelles de Montmirail region of Provence. The place may not have a name on the map, but the grapes surely have their own distinctive terroir.
